About the Flower

Butterfly pea, grown in North India, picked by hand before it peaks. Steeped, it turns water a still, deep indigo. Add a squeeze of lemon and watch it shift to violet — no dye, no additive, just the flower doing what it does.

Storage

Keep in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Colour and taste may vary batch to batch — that is the herb, not a flaw.

Brewing

1 tsp (approx. 2g) in 200ml water, just off the boil. Steep 5 minutes. Strain into a cup. To taste, add honey.

Tasting Notes

Aroma: delicate, grassy, faintly floral. Taste: mild and earthy, a little sweet, no bitterness. Colour: deep indigo, shifting to violet with lemon. Caffeine: none. Best time: evening, the hour before sleep.
